Survey of SPED Directors 

Annually, IBCCES conducts a nationwide survey of special education directors and district superintendents to determine their biggest challenges  complying with IDEA legislation and other mandates. The survey focuses on “Concerns Related to Students” and “District Management Concerns”

Concerns Related to Students

  1. Autism diagnosis up 600%
  2. 1 in 5 students in public schools diagnosed with mental illness
  3. Increase in ADHD and other learning disorders, decreased teacher effectiveness
  4. Lengthy time to identify and qualify reduces chance of student success

  • Current staff can be located in district office or other location
  • Services delivered via HIPAA compliant platform directly to the student at a school campus or at home
  • When necessary director has the option to access COGTRIUM providers to fill in (Psychologist, SLP, OT, SP)
  • SPED director can address backlogs, special skills by using COGTRIUM providers to assist
